Spirit of Mammon

mammon

As a Christian have you ever questioned the teaching of giving 10% of your income or tithing your money to the church? You might be surprised to know that there is no such instruction in the Bible to give 10% of your money to anyone. In fact this teaching could rightly be classified under “doctrines of devils.”

Under the covenant of the Old Testament God gave the Hebrews the natural land of Palestine and the land produced crops and other means to generate and live a particular way of life. The first increase of that land, the ‘tithe’, was always for the priesthood and the work of the temple. The Jews however could not keep the Old Covenant and when Christ came to replace the old with a new covenant, the natural land of Palestine and the natural temple were also superseded.

They are not totally irrelevant in that they do still have a spiritual revelation and application for the Spirit led believer, but they are irrelevant in the sense that they no longer have a literal application for Christians under the new covenant.

Under this new covenant our inheritance is not the land of Palestine but it is a heavenly land; the soil is our hearts in which the seeds of the Holy Spirit are sown and which, through obedience and faithfulness, bring forth spiritual gifts, the fruit of the Spirit and a ministries. To offer our tithe is to offer the first and best of that spiritual increase God has sown and established in our lives, for the work of the Lord. If we have received the gift of prophecy, or if we bear the fruit of love, we should put our first and best efforts to use these for increase of the Kingdom of God. This and this alone is the tithe.

The only thing of value we can give to the Kingdom of God is that which God has given us first; our spiritual increase. Matthew 22:21 Then saith he (Jesus) unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

In this dispensation there is longer a select group for the priesthood, but as believers we are all part of the priesthood.1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Each one of us is giving an increase to serve God and increase the kingdom in some way. If we do not exercise this gift and give back to increase the Kingdom of God, we have effectively withheld our tithe.

John 15:5-6 I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

God however often convicts us to give money to others in need and this is a freewill offering and can be anything from a few cents to all that we have depending on what God convicts us to give. There is no prescribed 10% and God will certainly not expect us to go into debt to make such an offering. And we should never give money out of a desire or expectation that God will respond by giving more back to us. In doing this we effectively make mammon the motivation for giving and we therefore come under the spirit of mammon. This is directly contrary to giving according to the conviction of the Spirit of God.

This is the way we give: A need is revealed to us and we give according to what God convicts us to give. Unfortunately many wealthy people are not close enough to God to receive conviction to give or they are under bondage to the spirit of mammon and are blinded in this area.

Our giving should not be in a deceitful manner (for any gain or authority) nor for a show unto others. We should also understand that the value God sees in our giving is directly proportional to how much we have in relationship to how much we give. So the poor woman who offered the least was in God’s eyes the biggest giver. Mark 12:41-43 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury.

If our giving is to those that we are receiving spiritual food from this is also good in the eyes of God; natural for spiritual.1 Corinthians 9:11-14. If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things? If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ. Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.

The deviation in doctrine comes in when we are encouraged to give 10% of our income as a tithe which ultimately leads to the building a natural empire. This has been a great problem in the Church from the earliest of days and many Spirit filled Christians have been tempted to build a natural empire at the expense of the true work of the Lord. It is not possible to build in the natural and the spiritual at the same time and it is not possible to focus on the spiritual and the natural kingdoms at the same time. The more you have of one, the less you have of the other. The natural kingdom may bring an increase in numbers, but it will never bring spiritual depth.

Not only is this offensive to God, but it has caused much condemnation from those from outside of the Church. In reality this doctrine is simply the non-sanctified desires of the carnal man at work; seeking greater eminence and position, bigger ministries and greater personal wealth. Out of this deceitful doctrine comes another great distortion within the Body of Christ; churches putting themselves in authority over other churches through their increased wealth, position and natural power. Invariably other churches begin seeking a spiritual covering from these more powerful and ‘successful’ than themselves, which is effectively a covering other than that of Christ. They submit themselves and their fellowships to other men.

Isaiah 30:1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin.

Israel in Biblical Prophecy

Israel in prophecy

2 Thess 2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

The falling away from the faith in these end times will come through subtle deception of the truth. To deceive great numbers of Christians the lies have to relate to and appear to be scriptural. It has to be an interpretation that distorts the truth of the Word of God and not a new belief system or an obvious lie. This is how Satan operates; “did God not say…..?”.

What if I said the lie for the end time falling away is already accepted doctrine within Christianity? Perhaps you already believe the lie and it is simply a matter of time and events unfolding to direct you down a particular path of deception?

This deception, the biggest lie in Christianity is that which pertains to the occupation of Palestine by so called Israelis. Firstly the vast majority of Israelis, as declared by their own genetic specialists, are not descendants of the Hebrew people. They are primarily Ashkenazi who adopted the faith in the 7th century for political convenience. They disregard the Old Testament, having a strong leaning toward esoteric and even satanic beliefs, they speak Yiddish, have adopted a satanic symbol as their national identity (renamed the Star of David), and they do not live by any of the laws of the Torah. They have in fact hijacked the Jewish faith.

Perhaps the most startling of all is that Hitler’s war machine was largely funded by Ashkenazi’s or Zionists from around the free world. Not surprisingly Hitler’s form of government adopted many of the elements found in the “Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion’, a blueprint for world domination. Hitler was also the first to send ‘Israeli’s’ to Palestine although there had been a concerted effort to this end for 50 years prior to the Zionist occupation. Six million lives were previously announced as having being lost in the Ukraine, Russian and the Ottoman empire. Something to do with an interpretation of the Torah, where 6 million lives must be lost prior to the return to Israel. That so many Jewish lives could be considered sacrificial lambs for this end goal, should send warning bells to every Christian.

Nevertheless, the Ashkenazi’s did get to achieve their ambitions of establishing the United Nations and to possess a small portion of Palestine with their latest ‘6 million lost souls’ declaration after WW2. Ever since this has led to an ongoing and bloody journey towards a final end goal; the end times single nation world govt of the Antichrist.

So should Christians really care about who occupies the ancient land of the Hebrews?

The Bible states that thousands of Jews accepted Christ and became partakers of the New Covenant. The call was to go forth and make disciples of men, baptizing in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost and every believer, both Jew and Gentile, has been a recipient of their faithfulness. The elect are now recipients of a new covenant with a heavenly promised land; the Body of Christ has became the new Jerusalem and the increase and fruit of the spiritual land of the new covenant was birthed within the hearts of mankind at Pentecost. The old had fulfilled its purpose and the temple curtain was torn in two. The natural land is now as relevant as the old temple system.

Old Testament prophecies are always relevant for 3 seasons; the times of the Jews, the time of Christ and the times of the gentiles. We are in the times of the gentiles; a spiritual season with spiritual relevance and spiritual events. Anyone pointing to natural Israel for end time prophecy clearly does not understand the seasons or the dispensation we are now in.

Without doubt it should not be relevant to Christians as to who controls the land or what happens in the land that is ‘now under bondage.’

But what makes it so relevant and what is far more disturbing than the usurping of the Hebrew nation and their Old Testament covenant, (from which we have the Law, the Prophets, Jesus and the Bible) is that these natural events will be used to deceive and corrupt the Christian faith in these end times. The ultimate target in this great demonic deception of natural Israel is the Christian faith.

The foundations for a world war are being laid in the Middle East at this very time and it is purposed to be a religious war involving Christians. Already the Muslim youth has been sucked into this war through lies, indoctrination and money. The overthrowing of moderate Arab states in the Middle East and the installing of fanatical proxy ‘Islamic’leaders under the guise of the Arab spring, is well underway. From the Taliban to Al Qaeda to ISIS these groups have all been formed, trained, funded and supported covertly by elements within western government and the Israeli Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS) to prepare for the coming planned war to overthrow Christianity. Whether they are Zionists, the New World Order, the UN or whatever else, it does not matter. What matters is this is the work of the devil and the end goal is the spiritual enslavement of the Body of Christ.

Out of this war will emerge the single world govt of the UN, under which Christianity, Islam and Judaism will serve as a single world faith headed by Satan, the devil. This false Messiah will rule out of a temple system in Jerusalem and will oppose and persecute ‘fundamental’ (that is, born again) Christians. Deceived Christians will be duped into believing this is the returned Christ when natural Israel is’saved’ in their own fabricated natural battle of Armageddon. The devil will mimic the coming of Christ to establish his own kingdom in the end times and Christians en masse will be deceived.

Look out for triggers that will be generated and publicized to ensnare Christian participation in this future war. It is important to demonize the ‘enemy’ to incite engagement in this war and this is already happening daily in the world media.

Meanwhile the real Armageddon in these end times will take place against the Body of Christ in the spiritual realm and Christianity will go into spiritual bondage. Thank God before the end the real Jews are called by God again and they in turn restore the Christian faith. Yes, Gentiles will not restore the Jews, but the Jews will restore the Gentiles and the Body of Christ.

To those Christians that somehow think God has sent Israelis to Palestine at this time; God does not restore unless there is repentance. Ever! That is the end of the matter. Secondly if God was restoring the Jews, then restoration is to God through Christ, the Body of Christ, the heavenly Jerusalem, as the old covenant was not sufficient, being the shadow for Christ and of things to come. That which has been done away with is now under bondage.

God has not restored Israel to Palestine. At the end of the age of the gentiles, the Jews will be restored to God through Christ and will call out the gentiles from their own end time Babylon.(which will come about due to disobedience and rebellion)
